Browser automation roadmap

Playwright test automation from reviewed QA scenarios

The planned automation module will translate approved test intent into maintainable browser scenarios without pretending generated code is ready to run unchecked.

Browser automation roadmap

What this capability covers

The future Playwright workflow is intended to start from reviewed scenarios and explicit application context. It will help model selectors, page interactions, assertions, test data, reusable setup and environment boundaries while keeping the source requirement and manual case visible.

Generated automation will require human review, execution against a controlled environment and maintenance as the product changes. QA Copilot does not currently claim that this dedicated module is available, and no production date is promised on this page.

Outcomes for the QA team

Traceable automation

Link browser checks back to reviewed scenarios, requirements and the risk each assertion covers.

Maintainable structure

Plan fixtures, page abstractions, stable selectors and test data instead of emitting isolated scripts.

Execution evidence

Keep run status, failures and useful diagnostics connected to the automation artifact.

How the workflow works

  1. 01

    Select an approved scenario

Begin with a reviewed case rather than converting an unresolved requirement directly into code.

  2. 02

    Describe the application context

Define pages, roles, data, environments, selectors and setup constraints.

  3. 03

    Generate maintainable code

Draft Playwright tests and reusable support structures for professional review.

  4. 04

    Run, inspect and maintain

Execute in an authorized environment, inspect evidence and update tests as the application evolves.
